TERRE RYBOVICH

''"BODY IMPRINTS: FROM CHARCOAL TO VIDEO AND SCULPTURE"''

Terre Rybovich invites you to join her at the next ART, WOMEN, and CULTURE SALON, on Tuesday, November 20, in a look at her work—first sculpting in metal, then drawing with charcoal and pastels, and now also creating 3-dimentional sculptures as surfaces for drawings, as well as videos conveying mood, process and the natural world. She’ll be discussing some of the questions that have propelled her over two decades of art-making, and the role her past as a social justice activist plays in the process.

For years, Terre has relied on imprints of her body as the starting point in her work. Now her challenge is to explore the significance of the imprint, and how it translates into 3-D and video forms. Terre’s work was recently seen in “other-word-ly”, a two person exhibition with Hanne Niederhausen at PBSC, Eissey Campus. She is represented by Mary Woerner Fine Art in West Palm Beach, where an exhibition of figurative work will open on December 11.

We'd also like to spend some time talking about career development - opportunities, resources, and steps you can take to get your art seen by a wider audience.
